Chaiiwala, the fast-growing Indian street-food brand, has opened its third Bradford outlet… and to mark the occasion is offering diners the chance to eat for FREE.
To celebrate the opening of the cafe at Ingleby Road, Bradford, BD8 9SY Chaiiwala is offering its best-selling Kebab Roll free when you buy any karak chaii or coffee this weekend.
The offer is valid all of Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15, and only at the Ingleby Road store, which joins the other Bradford outlets on Leeds Road and Great Horton Road. Both of the existing Bradford stores are undergoing refurbishment to make the customer experience absolutely top-notch.
Muhummed Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer at Chaiiwala, said the chain had decided to open a third shop in Bradford after the city had taken their brand of Indian street-food to their hearts.
He said: “We have had a phenomenal response to our first two outlets in Bradford, and knew we had to open another one to satisfy the demand the city has for our food and drink.”
“We all know that Bradford is the curry capital of the UK, but we have proved that the appetite is there for other types of food from the sub-continent, too, and we feel we have become part of the food landscape in Bradford.”
“We started out with a mission to bring the wonders of chaii, Indian tea, to these shores and since then we’ve expanded into a wide range of street-food, so as a thank you to our loyal Bradford customers and to show off our menu, we’ve decided to give away our delicious Kebab Roll with any karak chaii or coffee purchase for two days.”
Chaiiwala has teamed up with forecourt food specialists EG On the Move, who now operate all three of the Bradford franchises, as well as several other Chaiiwala locations across the UK, including two Drive-Thrus and the outlet at Birmingham Airport.
Chaiiwala started out with a plan to get the nation drinking chaii. Britain is a nation of tea-drinkers but Chaiiwala — which now has almost 120 outlets globally — has shown us that we can add a bit of spice to our cuppa. Chaiiwala’s famous karak chaii is their top seller. “Karak” literally means strong tea, and is made of black tea leaves, milk, and spices including cardamom and ginger.
Chaiiwala’s story began almost a century ago on the streets of Delhi, with forefathers of the current founders beginning their business with one small street stall selling tea.
Established in 2015 in Leicester, Chaiiwala has gained a cult following with its fusion of authentic Indian street food with a Western twist. The menu showcases breakfast, lunch, dessert and all-day items with signature products such as Karak Chaii, Caramel Chaii, English-Ish Breakfast, Masala Chips and Karachi Bun Kebab Burger.
What Chaiiwala has been aiming to do is blow away that preconception and drive home the message that Indian food and drink can be an on-the-go snack, a quick lunch, or even just a drink — chaii, the Indian tea, or coffee brewed to the sub-continent’s techniques and recipes.
Muhummed said: “Since we set up we have proved that there is a market for tea and coffee brewed the Indian way… with care, attention, and time. Our chai especially is a huge hit, and we decided to expand into street food to give our customers yet more of a taste of India.”
The ethos behind the fast-growing company is that Indian food is considered to be the nation’s favourite takeaway, but there’s long been an idea that an Indian meal is for a big evening dinner or night out.
And now customers in Bradford can sample the fast-growing Chaiiwala street food for FREE when they buy a karak chaii or coffee and take advantage of the free Kebab Roll offer… but only on Saturday December 14, and Sunday, December 15, and only at the new Ingleby Road outlet.
